Master Hsi was born in Taiwan and started his martial arts training under late Grandmaster Wang Fong Ting as a teen. Later, Master Hsi joined the Wu Tang Kung Fu Academy and studied under late Grandmaster Liu Yun Chiao (the chief instructor for the late president Chiang Kai Shek's security guards). From Grandmaster Liu, Master Hsi learned Bagua Zhang, Baji Chuan, Pigua Zhang, etc.. After Grandmaster Liu passed away, Master Hsi continued polishing his skills with classmate Master Adam Hsu.
In 2000, Master Hsi moved to the Vancouver, British Columbia area and started the Yun Hua Kung Fu Academy in order to pass on the ancient arts. Classes are held every Saturday and Sunday. Email for location and details.
In 1999, Master Hsi was a visiting scholar at the University of British Columbia Centre for International Law. He has also been a dedicated Tibetan Buddhist and has studied Tibetan Buddhism intensively in Nepal.
